Do I have to be at pickup?
Both yes and no. You are not required to be there, however it is strongly advised that if you are unable to be present, you have a representative present. The representative must be over the age of eighteen. Before signing the Bill of Lading, you or your representative will inspect the car and record any damage on the form. Because the BOL is the legal document utilized in the event of an accident, failing to report damage on the BOL could cause problems down the road.
